PMX – “DARK DAYS” EP – OUT AUGUST 29TH

“Dark Days” is the long-awaited new EP from reunited Perth punks PMX and we are absolutely delighted to be playing a part in bringing the release to life.

Formed in 1997, PMX wrote, gigged, recorded and toured extensively for ten years with highlights including releasing the incredible “Rise and Shine” album through Bells On Records, touring throughout Canada with Randy, tearing up the UK and Europe as well as racking up shows with bands like Propagandhi, Alexisonfire, Captain Everything, Strung Out and many, many more.

Now in 2015, PMX are back with a refreshed line-up and an incredible new EP due for release on Saturday 29th August. Having played their first shows of the decade last week; firstly with a rammed show in their hometown of Perth alongside MTAT comrades Get It Together and Tragical History Tour, then with their first Glasgow show in nearly 10 years supporting the mighty A Wilhelm Scream, PMX are primed, pumped and ready to go.

“Dark Days” was written and recorded by the band themselves, with drums being tracked by Bruce Rintoul at 45-A-Side Studios in Glasgow. The EP has been mastered by Jason Livermore at The Blasting Rooms in Fort Collins, Colorado and is a razor-sharp slice of technical melodic skate-punk/hardcore that is guaranteed to blast your cranium straight off your body.

The EP will be streaming in full exclusively from our friends at DyingScene.com on Friday 28th August and will be available for digital download on Saturday 29th August. The EP will be released on CD at the same point, although they will not ship until the first week in September. The initial run of CDs is limited to 300 copies worldwide so get your orders in quick on release day to ensure you get one.

PMX will play their first Dundee show since 2007 on the opening night of BOOK YER ANE FEST IX at Buskers on Friday 27th November. There are still a few Earlybird Weekend Tickets available for £20 here, so grab one quick before they’re all gone.
